With the first gift to UNITE made in January 2002, many individuals expressed a desire to give back to their community. Through contributions and pledges, UNITE met its goal to raise $200,000. CREATE Foundation then granted an additional $100,000. As a result, in December 2003 UNITE awarded their first grants in Union County.
The UNITE endowment balance exceeds $600,000 and UNITE has awarded more than $280,000 to non-profit organizations in our community. Based on the percentage of grant disbursements to money raised locally, UNITE is ranked number one among all of the CREATE affiliates.
